A 16th-century free house in Old Oxted, Surrey.
Limpsfield is close enough that the B269 barely counts as a journey - five minutes and you're parking on the street outside. For a village without its own free house, that makes The Crown the natural local, whether you're after a quiet pint or the whole family beer garden for the afternoon.
The Crown began as a Tudor hall house in the 1500s and has welcomed locals and travellers on Old Oxted’s High Street for over 300 years. Today it’s an independent free house, owner-run by Alan Percival for over thirty years. Two characteristic bars with open fires, exposed beams and Victorian panelling, local cask ales from Surrey and Kent breweries, home-cooked food and a family beer garden with adventure playground and North Downs views.

When to visit.
Open from 12 noon on all trading days. Food served from opening. Sunday roast until we sell out.
